Castle Defense

Introduction

Castle Defense is a blockchain-based tower defense strategy game with its cryptocurrency POC token on the Binance Smart Chain network. In the game, players manage their own castles and have the chance of developing them into massive fortresses. Players can share their castles and their defensive systems with esports players to share the profits.

Gameplay

Castle Defense aims to allow battling with each other to earn real rewards for players. As a play-to-earn game, Castle Defense combines entertainment and an open economy to provide financial benefits to players while having fun. In order to prevent in-game monopolization and a certain segment from owning all digital assets in the game, Castle Defense wants players to focus on the gaming aspects of the game, too, not just its earning mechanisms. Therefore, by partnering up with esports players, the game aims to exhibit an egalitarian approach in terms of financial opportunities.

The biggest features that distinguish the game from the classic tower defense games are that the players can own the in-game assets (NFTs). These NFTs can be used to participate in different game modes. These game modes have different gameplay styles, namely PvE and PvP. The PvE gameplay of Castle Defense is about defending the player’s castle with the help of troops against AI. In PvE, there are daily challenges and battles for players where they can rent an NFT castle from a castle owner or use the default in-game castle to defend it from attackers.

However, PvP mode, aka Castle Arena, is about player versus player battles where players defend their castles and lands or attack other players’ castles to seize and conquer their territories. In Castle Arena, players can form guilds to coordinate their attacks strategically and seize territories as an alliance. The competitive aspects and importance of esports players can be experienced in the PvP mode of the game. 

Token Information

Castle Defense is supported by the POC token, the official token of Pocket Arena gaming ecosystem. Players can receive POC tokens as in-game rewards or as a payment method of Castle Market to trade NFT assets of the game. POC tokens can be used for staking or purchasing, and upgrading NFTs. POC currently supports the Binance Smart Chain network.
