Celestial is a Play to Earn, space-themed MMO game that utilizes both Binance Smart Chain and OKExChain networks with its in-game currency, CELT. The game aims to attract the attention of sci-fi and space fans to join its federation to explore the galaxy, mine resources, build space structures, craft spaceships, and fight against other players in the universe.
In Celestial, every player, aka commander, has their unique avatar. Avatars act like bioindicators of players: they give information about players’ statistics, races, hobbies, expertise, and positive or negative buffs. Avatars can gain experience to help themselves learn new skills to be more powerful and advantageous. Players may join federations with their avatars to team up with other players and help each other. In addition, avatars can’t be traded with other players because they are bound to the wallet addresses of players.
Celestial’s map consists of four galaxies at the moment (OEC, BSC, Solona, and Ethereum), and each galaxy represents a blockchain network. As the development progresses, Celestial will be adding new galaxies into the game, such as Polkadot and Tron galaxies. Every galaxy has hundreds of thousands of star systems, and each system has hyperspace channels that help players travel across the galaxy. Star systems, just like in the cosmos, have planets in them. These planets are explorable and have their ecologic features and terrains, which defines their capability in terms of resources, lands, and special events.
Federations can build colonial cities onto the planet if the planet is conducive to life. If that’s the case, federations can spend resources to develop their colonial cities and start to govern them. The planets’ characteristics can change the gameplay. For example, if an earthquake occurs and affects the colonial city, taxes of the city will be higher to reinforce the defense fortifications. But at the same time, this creates an opportunity to mine rare resources more efficiently. Players can create their games, build structures, and socialize with other players in the colonial cities. If the planet is not suitable for life, players can only mine resources and exploit the lands of that planet.
