Introduction

Domenation is a free-to-play multiplayer action shooter blockchain game that is developed by Blackmouth Games. This third-person shooter, developed using Unreal Engine 5, is set against a post-apocalyptic backdrop where players engage in high-stakes battles against human opponents (PVP) and in-game creatures (PVE), striving to survive on an ever-evolving battlefield. The game is available on PC.

Gameplay

Domenation's core mechanic distinguishes it from other games by requiring players to find shelter inside domes to survive a deadly pulse that sweeps across the map periodically. Matches last 12 minutes, with domes appearing randomly in several rounds before each pulse, compelling players to use them for protection. As the game progresses, the number of domes decreases, intensifying combat until the final round, where players confront each other in the last remaining dome.

The gameplay loop consists of exploration, combat, and strategic survival. Players must explore the island to gather loot by searching chests, clearing loot Rifts, and investigating airdrops scattered across the map. They will encounter weapons, ammunition, consumables, and throwable weapons. The main focus is player-versus-player combat, with players fighting to be the last one standing while also engaging with mutants guarding high-quality loot in Rifts.

Domes play a crucial role in survival, as players must reach them before the Pulse strike. As the game advances, the number of domes decreases, culminating in a final showdown in the Golden Dome, which contracts until only one player or team remains.

Domenation offers various game modes, including solo and team play, with options like Quick Match, Dome Hunters, and The Burnt. Future updates will introduce more modes, enhancing the player experience with fresh mechanics and content. Unique events like "The Burnt" challenge players to risk their in-game assets for substantial rewards, adding urgency and excitement.

Pets, which provide special bonuses and evolve both aesthetically and mechanically, are planned additions. Domenation's diverse biomes and strategic elements create an engaging environment where players must constantly adapt and strategize to achieve victory.

The game features a free-to-play model with optional NFT and token elements. Players can earn rewards through a compete-to-earn layer, ensuring that both web2 and web3 players can enjoy the game seamlessly.

The game's economy revolves around DOMEN tokens and NFTs, which players can collect, upgrade, and trade in the marketplace. Skins, both for characters and weapons, come with perks and can be leveled up based on their rarity. These NFTs provide minor competitive advantages while maintaining fair gameplay mechanics.
