Gameplay

Players are cast as members of a lesser-known aristocratic family, navigating the tumultuous aftermath of the Emperor's death and vying for supremacy in a galaxy torn apart by civil war. The game's narrative, enriched by a unique blend of Art Deco and Art Nouveau aesthetics, sets the stage for a journey of exploration, expansion, exploitation, and extermination.

The galactic setting is organized under an archaic neo-monarchical system, now thrown into chaos by the Emperor's unexpected death. Players find themselves at the edge of this galactic empire, belonging to a small aristocratic family. The power vacuum created by the Emperor's death leads to a civil war, with players having to choose sides among the Nobility, Commerce, or Military factions. This choice determines their path and alliances in the game.

Echoes of Empire is characterized by its strategic gameplay, where players must explore the galaxy, expand their bases, exploit resources, and engage in epic battles. The game's core loop involves sending probes, convoys, and fleets to uncover the secrets of the galaxy. Players must upgrade home bases, fleets, and mines using resources gathered throughout their journey. Mining, looting, raiding, and trading resources are crucial for survival and expansion. Combat is a significant aspect of the game, with players battling NPC warlords, space pirates, and rival players.

Echoes of Empire offers a rich blend of PvP and PvE content. Players can engage in combat with other players and guilds, as well as raid other players' holdings, including bases, depots, and mining operations. The most powerful of these assets are Celestial Claims, which produce resources essential for gameplay advancement.

Dust is produced through gameplay and is used to unlock powerful upgrades, create blueprints for rare capital ships, research ancient artifacts, fuel intergalactic travel, and upgrade Celestial Claims. The rarity of Celestial Claims affects the abundance of Dust that can be produced, adding a strategic layer to resource management.

Echoes of Empire is now playable on Windows and macOS and downloadable via Gala's game page, featuring GALA token integration and rewards from the "Stardust" Mechanic. Stardust is an in-game token exclusive to player-owned Celestial Objects, essential for producing Stardust once claimed. This Stardust then determines the daily distribution of GALA rewards from a specified pool to eligible players.
