Geopoly

Introduction

Geopoly is a geolocation-based economic simulator game that allows players to rent, buy, upgrade and sell real-world businesses. It is currently available only on Android, but it is also being developed on iOS and PC. Geopoly utilizes the GEO token for its on-chain gameplay. Unlike most blockchain-based games, Geopoly also has an off-chain mode where users can play just like any other mobile game without any cryptocurrency involvement. However, on and off-chain gameplay can interact with each other without disrupting the balance of the economy.

Gameplay

In Geopoly, players' main goal is to generate as much revenue as possible and expand their businesses. Players will start from scratch and build their way up to being one of the biggest real estate businesses. They can build, rent, upgrade, and sell properties to achieve this. There are four currencies that players expect to earn in Geopoly; cash, gold, experience, and management capacity (MC). Renting businesses gives players MC and cash, which allows them to invest in upgrades that provide XP, more cash, and MC. As players start to amass these currencies, they will be able to level up their headquarters and acquire more businesses to rent. This cycle eventually leads to having a more extensive real estate empire. Additionally, gold can be used to speed up this process.

Token Information

When it comes to on-chain gameplay, Geopoly uses GEO tokens to allow the players to buy properties as NFTs. These NFTs can be rented to a user on any chain (on or off) to earn tokens and in-game cash or traded on the marketplace to earn fiat. 

With these interactions, both on and off chains of the game actively interconnect and constantly yield income for both parties. What happens on-chain affects off-chain and vice versa. On-chain players may want to put their business for rent to expand and upgrade their NFTs while, on the other hand, off-chain players will be able to get better deals and contracts through these exchanges.
