Gold Fever is a third-person action and adventure game with its NFTs and three official in-game currencies, Gold Fever (NGL), JUL, Julius’s Brain (JBR), where players can craft, sell, trade, lend, and rent out in-game items, host arenas and offer in-game services to other players through their skills or items.
The game’s world is set in the wilderness where richness seeker adventurers and the native tribes pit against each other. Tribals want to eliminate adventurers to take their gold back and return it to the sacred rivers of their ancestral gods. Also, other adventurers might want to eliminate adventurers, to take their riches and make themselves richer. The game world offers a very tense experience and a dark environment for players who want to seek the riches of the land. Forests and the open world of Gold Fever are the home of horrors lurking in the shadows.
Gold Fever’s world is divided into mining claims, which are areas of the forest containing rivers, mountains, traps, and artifacts. The amount of gold in these mining claim areas is known to all players from the start of the game. So, to claim these areas and their rich lands, players have to fight for them ferociously.
Players can choose a specific role with unique skill sets and abilities. Adventurer faction players can pick the role of prospector, medic, or hunter, while Tribal faction players can choose sorcerer, forager, or warrior. Each role has a strategic and in-game balance purpose: players can join teams and work together as they combine different roles into action. For example, some individuals might want to focus on gold searching while other players in the party guard the camp. Every player in the world, whether Tribal or Adventurer faction committed, also earns reputation and experience.
Reputation represents the number of other players killed during encounters and the quantity of gold saved. Experience defines completed quests and tasks in the initial tutorial and free-to-play arenas. Both reputation and experience affect players’ abilities, such as fighting, movement speed, mining, and many more.
The game’s currencies can be used for different purposes: JULs can be used for access to user-created arenas, in-game purchases, and special events. NGL or Gold Fever token can be used for access to mining claims if the owner who owns the area is willing to accept NGL, transferring, getting paid by arena creators, shop owners, in-game service provides, guild owners, locking or consuming tokens temporarily to obtain various rights and privileges, and lending or renting items to other players. Julius’s Brain token is for governance purposes: players can use the token for voting on features or governance of the game’s revenue distribution, prices of items, services, or other features.
