Illuvium

Introduction

Illuvium is a blockchain-based play-to earn, 3D RPG auto-battler NFT game on the Ethereum network that utilizes the ILV token. The game is currently in beta and available on PC.

Gameplay

Illuvium consists of several interconnected games, each with a distinct purpose and gameplay. Illuvium: Overworld is a third-person adventure game focused on collecting Illuvials. Players explore various regions at their own pace, searching for resources and engaging in encounters. Illuvium: Zero is an industrial building game where players create a virtual industrial complex. Its primary function is to produce fuel, which is essential for other games in the ecosystem. Illuvium: Arena is a competitive auto-battle game. Players form teams with synergies and strategic positioning to counter opponents and succeed in battles. Illuvium: Beyond is a collectible card game where players customize Illuvial avatars and build unique collections to earn points and rank up on the leaderboard. These collections offer billions of combinations, and Illuvitars can be used as profile pictures in other games within the "Illuvium" universe.

Players start by customizing their characters and selecting their "Polymorphic Subordinate Drone," which is their sidekick. In addition to storage and assistance during battle, the player's sidekick is also capable of mining minerals from the planets and forging them into useful items. Once ready, players can head out to explore the world and hunt Illuvials. As the player encounters an Illuvial, a battle begins to subdue the creature, and then players can use a shard to capture them. Shards have varying power levels, so powerful Illuvials may need better Shards. There are multiple regions for players to explore, however, they can unlock over time as the players progress.

There are more than 100 Illuvials to hunt and capture throughout the world of Illuvium. Each of the Illuvials has unique abilities, and they can make powerful combinations with one another based on their affinities and classes. Players need to come up with different combinations to make up a powerful strategy and maximize their chances of victory. Players' characters can also fight alongside their Illuvials with their futuristic armor and weapons. Different synergies and combinations create bonuses that allow players to overpower their rivals without any synergy. Players can fuse their Illuvials if they are the same type to make them more powerful and beat stronger enemies.

Token Information

The ILV token has two main roles in the Illuvium ecosystem. Firstly, as a governance token, it empowers its owners to take part in Illuvium's decentralized decision-making process, thereby shaping the future of the project. Secondly, ILV functions as a tradable asset that can be purchased, retained, or traded, thus providing its holders with both value and practical benefits.
