Koakuma

Introduction

Koakuma is a play-to-earn free-to-play, massively multiplayer blockchain role-playing NFT game where players can own NFT characters and earn KKMA and BOD tokens on the Binance Smart Chain and Polygon networks. It takes place in a vast land where the players can explore, fight, and get rewards. The game is available for PC and mobile platforms.

Gameplay

Koakuma features a fantasy continent, Laria, filled with areas such as Sea of Trees Ruins, Blazing No Man’s Land, Blue Crystal Magic Cave, and Buried Sword Mountain to explore. Players can travel through these areas while battling various monsters and bosses. Some enemies can drop valuable gear, crafting materials, or quest items. The main gameplay loop consists of traveling, exploring, battling, gathering, collecting, and crafting. 

Players can gather materials and use their tokens to craft NFT items. These NFT items can range from usable equipment and weapons to cosmetic skins, character animations, and special effects. Equipment can be upgraded as the players progress through the game. Players are able to complete missions and tasks to gain experience points that allow them to level up and learn new skills. Aside from these activities, there are several systems that are implemented in the game.

Most of these gameplay elements need in-game tokens to accomplish. There is a scholarship system that can help new players to acquire NFT items and tokens. Existing players can become a manager and invite new players to help them on their journey. Both sides can sign a contract and agree on different responsibilities that affect them. If they meet these conditions, both players gain a certain amount of tokens. 

Imps are pet companions that can gather and fight alongside players during their journey. They are obtained from imp eggs that can be gained from either the marketplace or the as a drop in a dungeon. These eggs are categorized into different rarities: white, green, blue, purple, and orange. Imp rarities determine the ability of an Imp, they can be good at either gathering or fighting. Imps can also be bred or improved to increase their effectiveness.

Aside from the imps system, there is a fief system. Each fief is a unit that the players can choose to occupy. Fiefs can be improved by the players who have joined that particular unit. This is done through the fief treasury. Players have to stake KKMA tokens to enter the senate or buy a Lord Mask NFT to obtain lordship status in the fief. These token earnings make up the treasury which can be used to research science and technology upgrades.

Token Information

KKMA tokens are the governance token used in the game. They have a fixed supply and can be purchased from the market or can be earned as an in-game reward from specific missions. BOD tokens, on the other hand, are payment tokens that can be used to trade items or exchange them in the market. They have an unlimited supply and can be earned through successful participation in-game.
