Volume (24h)Mouse Haunt is a play-to-earn multiplayer team objective action strategy game where players can collect NFTs, farm tokens, mint characters, and craft levels. Two teams, the Mouse Heroes and the Ghosts, have different objectives that they have to achieve. There are two tokens in the game, the governance token MHT, which has a finite supply, and MCHEESE, which has an infinite supply. They can be both used in the marketplace.
In Mouse Haunt, two teams clash in a 3D isometric arena. There are two sides; the Mouse Heroes team and the Ghost team. Mouse heroes try to reach the Fragrant Cheese of Yore, while the Ghost team’s objective is to find and kill everyone on the Mouse Heroes team. Mouse heroes can shoot, dash, and use special abilities to make their way across the haunted castles. They don’t have much information about the castles, they have to be attentive and look for clues to get to the cheese. When a mouse hero dies, they come back as ghosts, switching teams as a result. The Ghost team can activate traps and use their own abilities to kill mouse heroes. They have to strategize and choose the best moment to surprise and kill the mice.
Mouse heroes can have different fur, hats, weapons, clothes, tails, ears, eyes, nose, and teeth. These not only have aesthetic effects but also determine the playstyle and how certain items are used. They can have different rarities ranging from common to legendary. Fur genetics is another key trait the mouse heroes have. They are determined by the fur appearance and affect the base stats such as health and move speed. Passive abilities are decided by the equipped hats, while active abilities are dictated by the weapons.
Ghost players are invisible and can move through walls. They have two types of objects that they can utilize. Throwable objects can be launched to give damage, while traps can be used to surprise and cause injuries. Traps consist of activatable furnaces or fireplaces, swinging axes, and rolling wrecking balls.
Players can use tokens to buy energy, stake, rent heroes and lands, and also buy items such as mice heroes, ghost villains, and lands from the in-game store. The rewards are gained as both MHT and MCHEESE, but since MHT has a limited supply, it is offered as a reward only in the Lock and Load game mode. It is a governance token and has to be used in impactful decisions such as breeding legendary NFTs and upgrading castles. MCHEESE, on the other hand, can be used freely for payments and upgrades.
Players can also buy land and build castles on them. They can customize their castles, set up traps and environmental props. All players can see who owns the castle while playing a level. Castles provide MHT to the owner every time a player tries to complete the level.
