Pikaster

Introduction

Pikaster is a play-to-earn action game that utilizes the Polygon blockchain with its NFTs and cryptocurrencies, MLS, SRBP, RBP. Pikaster is a card-based battle strategy NFT game where players must engage in battle using their tactics and strategies, paying attention to the features of different cards and the NFTs' attributes and monetizing their rewards.

Gameplay

Pikaster is a turn-based strategy card game where players use NFTs to engage in battles. There are different classes of cards on which they can draw and form their decks such as grass, bug, water, lightning, fire, and fighting cards.

The main gameplay takes place in one-on-one turn-based card battles in PvE adventures against AI or through competitive multiplayer featuring leaderboards. These modes differ in their token and in-game rewards depending on the opponents' difficulty. Different card classes use different counter mechanics. Classes exhibit restraining relationships, for example, grass restrains water, water restrains fire, fire restrains grass and players need to balance their decks accordingly. 

Before the battle a player chooses 3 to 5 Pikasters: 3 pikasters will begin the line-up. When one of them is defeated, the backup Pikasters will then enter the battle in a predetermined order. At the beginning of each turn, each player will initially get 6 random skill cards and 3 Energy. Once both players are ready by clicking the Battle button, the match will begin. Every skill card used consumes energy and it is replenished by 1 or 2 points every turn depending on the formation of the player's deck. There are also weather mechanics in the game to add flavor. Different weather conditions can enhance or restrain different class attributes. For example, under the searing sun; all fire-related skill effects will receive a boost. However, when the searing sun is coupled with a rainy day, this will result in foggy weather which subsequently strengthens bugs and certain water attributes of cards.

The game’s NFTs are Pikasters. These creatures are the initial investment to get into the game and consist of your main fighters with different attributes. They are aided by cards in-game to achieve victory. A Pikaster consists of one body and four body parts (head, wings, weapon, and tail). The body provides the base attributes, and each body part provides a corresponding skill. These Pikasters can be bred, coupled, and evolved to make them unique and powerful as they progress with the use of tokens. These NFTs can be traded in the game’s marketplace. They can also be lent through the scholar system where a contract is set between Investor and Scholar, where Investors essentially provide their NFT assets to Scholars for gameplay. In return, Investors and Scholars split the in-game earnings. 

Token Information

Pikaster features a 3-token model. The main token is the MLS, it can be used to buy Metaland shares, and as a governance token. RBP is the basic in-game token, which players will earn in their daily gameplay. The amount of RBP that can be earned by players varies depending on the player's NFTs holdings. SRBP is the scarce in-game token and players will earn them in advanced stages of the gameplay and will have a very limited output. The NFTs of the game must be generated through breeding or bought from the marketplace, and the breeding process will consume a certain amount of RBP and SRBP as well.
