Space Misfits is a play-to-earn space-based MMORPG that focuses on player ownership as its foundation. Players have complete control over their in-game assets and can manage these assets freely.

Gameplay

The game highlights its lore and fun gameplay instead of grinding and fighting with NPCs. According to their statements, the development team aims to create an adventure experience that changes constantly and creates new opportunities for players in Space Misfits. Space Misfits has a various number of gameplay mechanics and features such as; space flight and dogfighting, mining minerals, NPC hunting (PvE focused), player vs. player (PvP), crafting and building, fleet development, crew and jobs management, tactical and strategic planning, resource and supply management, space exploration (both known and unknown space), station/planet/large ship management and first-person shooter (FPS) mode. Thanks to various modes and features, players can access various scenarios from different perspectives.

Players will be lone survivors in the vast space at the beginning of the game. Thanks to their blockchain assets, however, they can make a difference and build massive fleets which venture into the adventure.

Space Misfits is not a linear game. Instead, the game focuses on developing progression-based seasons. The idea of developing these seasons is basically to give a chance to players to create their roadmap, a player-driven universe.

Currently, there are three preplanned seasons in the game; Survive Season, Team-Up Season, and Discover Season. Survive Season focuses on the development of each Space Misfit with survival, fleet ownership, being a pilot, exploration, and dominance in the star systems. Team-Up Season is more of a faction creation. Misfits have to come together to defend their resources and keep them secure from any kind of danger. In this part of the adventure, player-created events will commence and reward players who participated in these events with NFT assets. On the other hand, Discover Season will focus on encouraging players to explore the Space Misfits universe, and discover new worlds, space stations, and planetary structures. In this season, players will also encounter player vs. player engagements, resulting in the further distribution of NFT assets.

Token Information

Space Misfits is a game that combines free-to-play and earn-to-play features. The game is based on two tokens, SMCW, and BITS. In addition to that, BITS can only be earned by playing Space Misfits, while SMCW tokens are a premium staking and marketplace currency.
