Spider Tanks

Introduction

Spider Tanks is a blockchain-based battle brawler action MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) game in which players can own and upgrade their tanks, customize them with armaments, and battle it out in arenas. The game offers a free-to-play experience with play-to-earn mechanics centering around skill-based competition. Also, the game has resource collection/gathering and a player-driven upgrade system.

Gameplay

The NFT system of the game centers around tanks, weapons, buildings, and ownable lands. Players can use their lands to place workshops to upgrade or repair their tanks. Also, resource mines can be built in these player-owned lands. In Spider Tanks, players have the freedom to improve their buildings and land tiles by upgrading them. Special unit upgrades, however, can only be available via NFT purchases.

One of the game’s unique aspects is that players can experiment freely with the combinations of tank bodies, weapons, and special items. They can search and find the best combinations in order to win battles in the battle arena. The greater upgrades will lead to more powerful tanks. But of course, a solid strategy will be required in addition to powerful upgrades. With a variety of different game modes, players will have to switch strategies and customize their Spider Tanks to be victorious.

The game offers three different game modes at the moment: Team Deathmatch, Capture the Chicken and Capture the Flag. Team Deathmatch is a 3v3 team battle in which the goal is to destroy the enemy tanks. Capture the Chicken is a unique mode in Spider Tanks; in this mode, players have to search for and find the chickens that are scattered throughout the battlefield. The team that rescues the most chickens will be crowned the winners of a Capture the Chicken match. Capture the Flag is the classic game mode that players are all familiar with. In this mode, both teams try to capture the enemy team’s flag in order to win the match.

Spider Tanks utilizes the Ethereum (ETH) blockchain network. Also, the game has its own in-game currency, SILK. It can be used to buy NFT assets from the game's marketplace. GALA tokens, on the other hand, are the governance token and can be used in different games that have been published by Gala Games. They can also be used in the marketplace.
