Trivians

Introduction

Trivians is a play-to-earn free-to-play blockchain multiplayer trivia puzzle game where players can own special NFT powerups and earn TRIVIA tokens on the Binance Smart Chain network. Players are able to participate in different trivia game modes and compete against each other. The game features over 100.000 trivia questions and is available on both PC and mobile platforms.

Gameplay

Trivians take place in a fictional world called TrivianVerse where the inhabitants pursue knowledge. They gain power and TRIVIA tokens for each question successfully answered. These questions can be found in a variety of game modes that the players can choose from. Players can participate in single-player and multiplayer modes that can be separated into different categories. There are four main game types; Trivia Royale, Winning Questions, Ladder, and Station. 

Trivia Royale is a battle royale mode with an infinite number of questions and rounds where a player failing to give a correct answer is eliminated. Winning Questions operate the same way, except there are limited rounds, and players who survive until the end split the prize. Ladder and Station, on the other hand, allows players to answer a set amount of questions in a limited amount of rounds. In Ladder, players split the rewards with everyone who answered correctly, whereas, in Station, players split the prizes for specific rounds. These game modes can be participated in and found in several different ways.

Ticket games require tickets to attend. Players can join competitions by purchasing tickets with their tokens. Tickets act as a buy-in mechanic that both sustain the game economy and boost the rewards in-game. If a player just wants to try out the game, they can always enter the free-to-play mode. The players are challenging themselves in this single-player mode, and they can earn tokens, power-ups (extra life, double answer, and pass), and tickets. There is also a 1v1 mode that the players can instantly join and play against a player. The system matches the players according to their levels, and the goal is to be the last man standing.

Trivians have a ranking system that is based on the player’s levels and performances in different game modes. These rankings can be viewed and sorted out on a leaderboard that shows a player's daily, weekly, monthly, and all-time performances. Global and regional rankings can also be viewed. This encourages competition since the top players are awarded Wisdom points. Wisdom points allow players to level up their in-game characters.

Additionally, there are special events such as Christmas or Halloween events and tournaments that are held daily, weekly, or on a monthly basis. These tournaments and limited events have bigger prizes, and players are able to reserve their seats beforehand to compete. Trivians also allow other projects, companies, sponsorships, and advertisements to book events and showcase their work to the Trivians community in-game.

Token Information

TRIVIA tokens are the native currency of the Trivians ecosystem. They can be earned by being successful in various game modes. Players can use TRIVIA tokens to enter the trivia games and to buy NFT avatars, power-ups, and items from the marketplace. Tokens can also be staked to participate in high prized games and special events for further profits.
