Aavegotchi

Introduction

Aavegotchi is a play-to-earn blockchain metaverse where players can own NFT avatars and earn GHST tokens on the Ethereum and Polygon networks. Aavegotchis are NFT ghosts that the players can collect and play games within the vast land of the Gotchiverse. The main goal of the game is to collect and display your owned Aavegotchis. The game is available to play on browsers.

Gameplay

Aavegotchis have different traits and rarities that are randomized upon their birth. Their energy, aggressiveness, spookiness, eye shape and color, and brain size are the six traits that differentiate them from others. These traits have values that are distributed based on the Aavegotchis rarities; common, uncommon, rare, and mythical. They gain experience by participating in events, playing mini-games, and voting in the AavegotchiDAO. Every three levels, Aavegotchis receive one spirit point which can be allocated towards increasing or decreasing any of their traits. Using and gaining experience with a certain Aavegotchi will build up their kinship which is their loyalty towards the player. Kinship is a value displayed on the NFT page to indicate how much a player has used the Aavegotchi.

Rarity farming is a mechanic where players try to have the rarest Aavegotchi in the game. Players can select an Aavegotchi with rare traits to participate in the summoning process to mint an even rarer one or equip valuable wearables to modify their traits. The rarity levels of an Aavegotchi are dynamic and can fluctuate over time as more players can have an Aavegotchi that is similar to one another. The Aavegotchis with the highest rarity scores are rewarded at the end of a rarity farming season.

The players can roam around and socialize in the land called the Gotchiverse. It has three distinct zones that are divided geographically; the Citaadel, the Grid, and the Beyond. The Citaadel is the home base that features the great portal, the Grid is the frontier along the Citaadel’s walls that has the Aarena, and the Beyond which is the rest of the land that is the most dangerous. Players can own REALM parcels that act as land NFTs. REALM parcel owners can construct special installations on their lands.

Token Information

GHST tokens can be used to buy portals that summon Aavegotchis and to buy wearables that can be equipped. They can be staked for further profits. GHST is earned through playing and winning mini-games, participating in AavegotchiDAO, and in rarity farming.
