Metarun

Introduction

Metarun is a free-to-play play-to-earn blockchain arcade runner game where players can play as NFT characters and earn MRUN tokens on the Binance Smart Chain network. The game features both PvE and PvP run modes where the players can earn different currencies by successfully participating in them. The game is available on mobile platforms.

Gameplay

Metarun has two main modes that the players can partake in; the PvE endless-run mode and the PvP battle-run mode. The endless-run mode is a solo mode where the player’s goal is to collect as many earnable currencies as possible. The course features many obstacles and enemies that the player has to dodge and defeat in order to advance further. The competitive PvP battle-run mode, on the other hand, allows players to race against and outrun each other on a continuous track. Both modes reward players with gold, sapphire, and opal in-game currencies, while in order to earn diamonds, players need to play the PvP battle-run mode. Only opals can be converted into MRUN tokens.

NFT player characters are divided into three classes; craftsman, fighter, and sprinter. Each character has base stats such as health, mana, damage, and speed. They also have active abilities like projectiles and fireballs, as well as passive abilities like double jump or health regeneration. Craftsmen mainly use their gadgets to gain an advantage over enemies. They have low health and damage stats and a higher mana pool compared to other characters. Fighters have the highest health and damage numbers and can win through sheer force. They can defeat enemies with their offensive abilities. Lastly, sprinters are the characters that have the lowest damage, health, and mana pools, but their speed and defensive abilities make up for their lack of attributes.

Players can own characters that range from different rarity types; classic, epic, and legendary. These rarities determine each character's initial power and earning potential. There are also skins that can be bought and equipped for characters. Skin rarities determine the maximum level of a character and its abilities. All characters start at level one and can be leveled and upgraded with MRUN tokens, gold, and opals. Levels affect each character's power and their chances of winning. 

Aside from characters and skins, players can purchase boosters and pets to help them stay on track for a little longer. Boosters can range from health and mana potions to speed boosts, traps, and mines. Furthermore, pets are companion characters that give the player character an additional passive ability.

Token Information

MRUN tokens can be obtained by exchanging opals. OPAL can be earned by successfully participating in both PvE and PvP game modes and completing daily missions. Opals are used for character leveling, for ability upgrades, to rejoin a lost race, to buy skins and items from the in-game store, and to purchase tickets for special events and tournaments.
