Volume (24h)Sugar Kingdom is a play-to-earn blockchain arcade game where players can own NFTs and earn CANDY and CHOCOLATE tokens on the Binance Smart Chain network. Players can participate in various PvE and PvP game modes based on match-three games.
In Sugar Kingdom, the main goal of the players is to match sugar tiles of the same color and shape. This gives players points and increases their scores. There are three game modes; Sweet, Duel, and Savage.
Sweet mode is time-based, and players will have a limited amount of time to score as many points as possible. The higher number of points results in more rewards. Duel is a PvP game mode that lasts thirty seconds where players try to fit as many pieces as possible by moving them onto the board. Players gain a score based on their performance and will be rewarded in the end. There are no entry requirements for this mode, and both players get CHOCOLATE tokens while the winners are rewarded CANDY tokens. Savage mode is another PvP mode where players have to bet a number of CANDY tokens to start, the rest of it acts the same as the duel mode. This mode acts as a token-burning mechanic because players who have already acquired a certain amount of CANDY are only able to play.
Players can buy NFT characters from the marketplace. The characters are divided into categories based on their rarities; common, uncommon, rare, mystic, and legendary. NFTs grant players multipliers to earn more CANDY in sweet and duel modes. They also provide more stamina, allowing players to keep playing more and more.
Players can also own land from Mount Chocolympus. Lands are tokenized plots of land that act as hubs for players to gather, share, and play. Landowners can upgrade their lands and earn commissions from games played. There are three types of land from smallest to largest; sweet, delicacy, and chocolympic.
CANDY is the main utility token in the game. It can be used to buy NFTs, and it is earned from successful participation in game modes. CHOCOLATE is the governance token that allows voting, and it can be minted and staked.
Do you remember Candy Crush? You know, that match-three game that came out for mobile devices in 2012 and took the whole world by storm, gave its name to the sub-genre and still has more than 250 million players monthly in the world. If you remember the game, you remember how fun and addictive it was. It is very difficult to find such a game that appeals to people of all ages and constantly improves itself. Well, we have another candidate right here, Sugar Kingdom!
Hello everyone! Today, we will dive into Sugar Kingdom, a match-three sweet world with tons of fun. If you wear glasses or contact lenses, wear them because you will need good vision when matching the colors! Let’s pop some colorful rows together!
Sugar Kingdom is a blockchain-based match-three adventure game that utilizes the Binance Smart Chain network with its in-game NFTs and cryptocurrencies, CHOCOLATE, and CANDY. We talked about Candy Crash, but Sugar Kingdom has tons of different in-game features that make the game completely unique. For example, you play the game by using your NFT hero/card, and every card has the potential to make you earn more CANDY tokens, thanks to their CANDY token multiplier feature. Also, you can own land in this game! The land that you own generates CANDY tokens for you, depending on its location. We don’t have these cool features in Candy Crush since it’s an off-chain game.
The mechanic of the game is pretty basic, you match the same color candies and make them go pop. By doing that, you gain points and these points determine your possible CANDY token earnings alongside your NFT’s capabilities.
Before we dive into the details of gameplay and its features, let’s talk about how you reach and start to play the game. You literally don’t have to do anything; no in-game account creation, no additional investments (although if you want to earn more money, you have to invest a little), nothing. All you have to do is to connect your Metamask account to the game, and that’s it. You can start to play Sugar Kingdom on your mobile device by downloading it, or without downloading anything, just go to their official website and play on your browser. Easy peasy.
Do you know what the best part is? You can play the game for free and start earning money! The game gives you a free NFT, Happy Chocolate, to play the game at the very beginning. It doesn’t have any CANDY token multiplier, and its stamina is very low. But hey, it’s totally free. Thanks to this feature and the genre in which the game is included, Sugar Kingdom appeals to players from all walks of life and has the potential to introduce the GameFi ecosystem to millions of people!
After connecting your Metamask account, the game is ready to play!
There is a feature in Sugar Kingdom that I can not wait to talk about. Before taking a closer look at the different game modes of the game, I would like to introduce you to the royalty system! You can be royalty in the kingdom of sweetness, by staking CANDY to the game. Staking CANDY tokens let you earn royalty points. Depending on your amount of staking and royalty points, you can earn a title for yourself in this colorful kingdom! The titles come with privileges, vote rights, special avatars… you name it.
In Sugar Kingdom, there are twelve different royalty titles that you can earn. Each of them has different requirements, and types of nobility. As you can imagine, the most powerful title is the King or Queen. This title has just a single open position, and it is the highest possible authority in the kingdom. To be declared a King, or a Queen, you need the most royalty points in the game, which means you have to stake a lot of your CANDY tokens. The second most powerful titles are Prince and Princess. There are 19 open positions for this title, and players who are princes and princesses are referred to as the “Members of the Crown”. Sounds fancy, isn’t it? Let’s say you are not able to invest in the game to be a King/Queen, or a Prince/Princess. Don’t worry, you can still be an Archduke or Archduchess. There are up to 80 open positions for these titles, and players who managed to earn these titles are referred to as “Councilors of the Crown”. So you’re still in the inner circle.
Royal Title | Available Titles | Kind of Noble | Requirements |
---|---|---|---|
King/Queen | 1 | The highest authority of the Kingdom | The top player with the most Royalty Points (at least 20.000) |
Prince/Princess | 19 | Members of the Crown | Top 20 players with the most Royalty Points (at least 20.000) |
Archduke/Archduchess | 80 | Councilors of the Crown | Top 100 players with the most Royalty Points (at least 20.000) |
In addition to these three highest titles, the kingdom has nine more royalty statuses. The number of openings for these titles is still unknown, but they will grant you some benefits on your journey to the top.
Royal Title | Available Titles | Kind of Noble | Requirements |
---|---|---|---|
Duke/Duchess | TBA | Important partners and friends of the Crown | At least 12.000 Royalty Points |
Elector/Electress | TBA | Important partners and friends of the Crown | At least 11.000 Royalty Points |
Marquess/Marchioness | TBA | Important partners and friends of the Crown | At least 10.000 Royalty Points |
Count/Countess | TBA | Partners of the Crown | At least 8.000 Royalty Points |
Baron/Baroness | TBA | Regional nobles | At least 7.000 Royalty Points |

Lieutenant | TBA | Local nobles | At least 1.000 Royalty Points |
Chief | TBA | Local nobles | At least 250 Royalty Points |
Have you ever seen a royalty without a land? Of course not. In Sugar Kingdom, you can own lands in different locations. Unlike royalty titles, the lands directly affect your income since they generate CANDY tokens for you. At the center of Sugar Kingdom, there is a huge mountain, called Mount Chocolympus -I am in love with its name- and the Grand Candy Castle is located on the peak of this gigantic landmark. As you can predict, King/Queen rules the kingdom from this castle. Mount Chocolympus is a multi-layered mountain and each layer has its own land plots. We can basically divide them into three portions:
These lands are not just “lands”, they are NFT assets that can generate CANDY tokens for players, and they can be upgraded. You also can customize your land and make them a more personal space. For example, you can name your land as you wish and let the world recognize your land! I strongly advise you to upgrade your land whenever possible, because an upgraded land means higher bonus earnings, and priority points. Priority points are required for your land to be seen on the in-game menu. The order in which these land names are seen, from top to bottom, is determined by the priority points. As a land owner, you can accumulate priority for your land and gain benefits. Accumulated priority points are determined by land quantity, the amount of land you have, and land quality, your land’s quality after your upgrades.
“So, how do I make money out of my land?” you ask? Well, Sweet Mode can only be played inside a land. When another player plays a game of Sweet Mode in your land, you get 20% of his earnings. It’s like renting your restaurant for a birthday party.
Good job so far! Now, you need an NFT if you want to make some real money. In Sugar Kingdom, NFTs are the main source of income; you can earn CANDY tokens by playing Duel Mode, and Sweet Mode. Their multipliers directly affect the outcome of your rewards. The higher multiplier is better for you to earn more CANDY tokens. Also, every NFT has a stamina capacity. Unfortunately, you can not play the game without taking a break since your NFT needs to regain its stamina. You can play three games without equipping an NFT, and then wait for 24 hours to be able to play again. If you are equipped with an NFT, your stamina will increase depending on your NFT’s rarity which means you can keep playing more. There are five levels of different rarities:
Legendary NFTs are the best since they have the most multiplier rate. They can increase your earnings tremendously.
Chocolate Viking is a legendary NFT. Look at that multiplier!
There are three different types of game modes that your sweet NFT can participate in; Sweet Mode, Duel Mode, and Savage Mode. In Sweet Mode, you have a limited amount of time. In this time period, you need to score as many points as possible. If you get good combos, you can increase your given time and score more points.
Duel Mode is a PvP mode that lasts 30 seconds, during which you and your opponent are able to match candies. The rule is simple; if you make more points, you win. There is no entry fee in this mode, you can test your skills against other players for free. Rewards are given in CANDY tokens for winners, and in CHOCOLATE tokens for both players, just for having participated in the game.
Savage Mode is very similar to Duel Mode. However, there are some differences such as; in this mode, you must pay an entry fee in form of CANDY tokens. You bet CANDY tokens, and the winner of the match earns it all. When the match is about to end, the losing player may extend the match and try to change the outcome of the match. This mode is like Duel Mode on steroids.
Before I end this guide, let me tell you that the play-to-earn feature of the game is not active yet. When you enter the game, you can play three games with the NFT given to you in Sweet Mode. So I wasn’t able to make any profit. BUT. A big but right there, the play-to-earn feature will be activated a couple of days from today, the 16th of June to be exact. Right now, Sugar Kingdom is about to make its great entrance into the GameFi ecosystem. In my honest opinion, this game will be a huge success and thousands of people will have fun while making some real profits!
